Audit Reports

Audit reports are official documents prepared to verify whether the financial transactions and administrative activities of Morayur Grama Panchayat are implemented in accordance with the law. The Panchayat's income and expenditure, project execution, fund utilization, tax collection, and the protection of public assets are evaluated through the audit.

Audit proceedings are primarily conducted by institutions such as the Kerala Local Fund Audit Department and the Office of the Accountant General. If irregularities, unnecessary expenses, legal violations, or documentation errors are found in the utilization of Panchayat funds, they are mentioned in the audit report along with corrective measures and recommendations.

Audit reports play a crucial role in ensuring the financial accountability and transparency of the Panchayat. The Panchayat governing body is required to take follow-up action to rectify the deficiencies pointed out in the report. The audit mechanism helps maintain public trust and enhances the efficiency of development activities.
