Budget Report 2026-2027
According to the budget report of Morayur Grama Panchayat for the financial year 2026–2027, an opening balance of ₹9,81,65,548 is estimated at the beginning of the financial year. The total revenue for this year is projected at ₹26,49,78,881, against a total expenditure of ₹16,72,01,683. Among the revenue sources, a major portion is expected from tax revenue amounting to ₹1,35,19,312 and grants and subsidies totaling ₹14,28,50,900. Giving significant importance to the social welfare sector, the budget has allocated ₹4,76,64,800 for old age pensions and ₹2,95,61,100 for widow pensions. An amount of ₹2,00,16,000 has been earmarked for women safety schemes. Additionally, ₹1,70,62,500 has been included for the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), and ₹2,09,35,000 for the maintenance of road assets. The expenditure towards staff salaries and other administrative expenses is estimated at ₹2,46,91,283. By the end of the financial year, this budget report foresees a closing surplus of ₹19,59,42,746. The report presents a comprehensive plan with a strong emphasis on social security and rural infrastructure development.
