As per Notification No. LSGD/PD/24269/2024-EER1 dated 06.09.2024, published by the Director (Rural), Local Self Government Department in the Extraordinary Gazette No. 2888 dated 07.09.2024, the number of seats to be filled by direct election in Morayur Grama Panchayat of Malappuram District has been fixed as 21. On that basis, draft proposals for dividing the said Grama Panchayat into as many constituencies and determining the boundaries of such constituencies were published vide Notification No. SDC/782/2024/SDC4 dated 18.11.2024; and time was granted up to 04.12.2024 for submitting objections and suggestions regarding the said proposals, and the objections and suggestions so received were subjected to inquiry, the complainants were heard in person, and the matters were considered and disposed of; therefore, in accordance with Section 10 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, final orders have been issued dividing Morayur Grama Panchayat into 21 constituencies and determining their boundaries as shown in the schedule appended herewith.
