To prevent the spread and use of illicit drugs in the state completely, the Kerala Police and the Local Self Government Department are jointly implementing 'Operation Toofan 2.0' with extensive public participation. Beyond a mere law enforcement measure, the objective of the project is to expand anti-drug activities to every ward and household by coordinating the law enforcement authority of the police with the popular foundation of the Local Self Government Department. Along with strong preventive measures to curb the spread of drugs across the state, widespread campaigning and continuous local-level monitoring must be ensured.
