Budget Report 2023-2024
In the Morayur Grama Panchayat budget for the financial year 2023-24, a total of ₹26.27 crore is estimated to be available, including the previous year's opening balance of ₹7.30 crore. A fresh income of ₹18.97 crore is expected this year through tax and non-tax revenues, General Purpose Fund, plan and non-plan grants, and loans. A total expenditure of ₹18.36 crore has been earmarked in the budget for revenue expenditure on statutory functions, development projects, and loan repayments. The highest share of the total expenditure, amounting to ₹15.39 crore, has been allocated for revenue development activities under plan funds. An amount of ₹2.02 crore has been set aside for mandatory administrative expenses and ₹32 lakh for capital requirements. With an expected closing balance of ₹7.91 crore at the end of the financial year, this is a comprehensive development budget.
