History of Grama Panchayat
Morayur Grama Panchayat is a region noted for its natural beauty and rich historical heritage. Historically linked to the reign of the Zamorin of Calicut, this area was the domain of the Thinayinchery Elayathu. The Kodithodika family held a prominent position in the social and administrative spheres, holding the post of the Amsham Adhikari (village head).
